This page covers the Go On Set mobile app for iOS and Android. The website has its own policy.

This privacy policy applies to the 'GoOnSet' mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the 'Application'), created by Lorenzo Zanchi (hereinafter referred to as the 'Service Provider') as an ad-supported service. The service is intended for use 'AS IS'.

Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information to provide and improve the service. This includes your device's IP address, visited pages, time spent, device model, and operating system. Geolocation data may be collected with your consent for location-based features.

Legal Basis for Data Processing (GDPR)

We process your data based on contractual necessity, user consent, and legitimate interest for analytics. Explicit consent is requested for specific data types where required by GDPR.

Geolocation Information

The Application may collect approximate location data with your consent to enhance features and analytics. European users will be prompted for explicit consent before geolocation data is collected.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside the EU. Where applicable, we use Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards to protect your information during international transfers.

Personal Information

The Application may collect personally identifiable information, such as email and username, for personalized experiences. This data is used only as described in this policy and with your consent.

Automated Decision-Making

The Application does not perform automated decision-making that legally or significantly affects users. Some features, like personalized ads, may use non-identifiable data.

Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

The Application uses the following third-party services to provide functionality and improve user experience:

Firebase (Google LLC)

Purpose: Authentication, cloud database, file storage, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications. Data collected: Email address, username, user-generated content (posts, comments), device information, app usage data.

Google Maps Platform (Google LLC)

Purpose: Display maps and filming locations. Data collected: Location data (when using map features), IP address, device information.

Google AdMob (Google LLC)

Purpose: Display personalized advertisements. Data collected: Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android), approximate location, device information, app usage patterns. Opt-out: iOS users can disable tracking in device Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Android users can reset or opt-out of personalized ads in Settings → Google → Ads. In the app, use Settings → Ad privacy options when available, and Settings → Manage permissions for related device permissions.

Legal Basis for Third-Party Data Sharing: We share data with these services based on your consent (explicitly requested for personalized ads where required), contractual necessity (to provide app functionality), and legitimate interest (to improve app performance and user experience).

Your Rights Under GDPR (for EU/EEA Users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to Erasure ('Right to be Forgotten'): Request deletion of your personal data. You can start this in the app under Settings → Delete Account (when signed in).
Right to Restrict Processing: Request limitation of how we use your data.
Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time (for example via Settings → Manage permissions, Settings → Ad privacy options when available, or by contacting us).

If you believe that our processing of your personal data violates GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.

How to Opt-Out and Control Your Data

You have several options to control data collection:

Personalized Ads (AdMob): On iOS, go to device Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and disable for GoOnSet. On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. In the app, use Settings → Ad privacy options when available.
Location Data: Use Settings → Manage permissions, or disable location for GoOnSet in device settings.
Push Notifications: Use Settings → Manage permissions, or disable notifications for GoOnSet in device settings.
Complete Opt-Out: Uninstall the application to stop all data collection.
Account Deletion: Delete your account from Settings → Delete Account (when signed in). This starts removal of your profile and personal account data as described below.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Application's services and comply with legal obligations:

Account Data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days after account deletion request.
User-Generated Content: Posts and comments are anonymized (not deleted) when you delete your account to maintain content integrity for other users. You can delete individual posts anytime.
Analytics Data: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.
Backups: Deleted data may persist in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.

Personalized Advertising and Tracking

The Application displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To deliver personalized ads, AdMob may collect and use:

Advertising identifiers: IDFA (iOS) and GAID (Android)
Approximate location (city-level)
Device information and app usage patterns

iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): iOS users will be prompted for permission before any tracking occurs. You can change this permission anytime in device Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → GoOnSet, or from Settings → Manage permissions in the app.

GDPR Consent (EU users): If you are in the European Economic Area, you will be asked for explicit consent before personalized ads are shown. You can update consent preferences via Settings → Ad privacy options when available.

Non-Personalized Ads: If you opt out of tracking, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity.

Children

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us to request deletion.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes through:

In-app notification
Email to your registered address (if applicable)
Update to 'Last Updated' date below

Your continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes affecting your rights, we will request your renewed consent where required by law.
